Beading for Fun and Profit: Bracelet Beading Birthday Parties

Emi Rigs
ABSTRACT
Girls of all ages, but especially those in the 5+ age range, are sure to enjoy a birthday bracelet beading party. Most girls are overjoyed with the prospect of making jewelry, and their parents will be grateful that you're covering both the party activity and the party favors (making the bracelets).

A few years back, I was invited to conduct a jewelry make-and-take project at a 9-year-old girl's birthday party, and that's when I stumbled across the lucrative home beading party niche. Since necklaces would be too pricey and not everyone has pierced ears, the girl's mother and I settled on gemstone bead bracelets.

So I brought my bead boxes, enough bead boards for everyone, a tape measure, some accuflex beading wire, some tiny sterling silver toggle clasps, enough velvet pouches for everyone, and a couple of example bracelets to the birthday celebration.

That blew my mind how popular it became. The girls were overjoyed to wear beaded bracelets made with genuine pearls and gemstones, and they gobbled the entire endeavor.

The girls have so much fun at the bracelet birthday bead parties that I now often get calls wanting me to come make one for another girl.

Throwing a bracelet birthday party is simple and can turn a tidy profit. If there are 10 or more girls in your party, I'll charge $14 per girl instead of $15. I give each girl a tiny velvet pouch for keeping her bracelet safe.

I always bring bead boxes separated by color, and you can probably predict that the most sought-after beads are pink and purple. Thankfully, rose quartz doesn't break the bank. Blue beads are the second most common color, after white. All of the beads I use for birthday parties cost me no more than $6 per 16-inch strand, and I make on average $10 to $12 from each girl.

In total, I spend three hours at the birthday beading party, during which time I spend an hour getting ready, an hour driving, and an hour setting up; an hour making bracelets with the girls; and an hour cleaning up, chatting, eating cake, handing out flyers, and driving home, for a total of anywhere from $70 to $200.

I've seen that businesses that provide entertainment for birthday parties are doing rather well, so if this is something that interests you, you might want to give it a shot.

  • Have fun, young ones,
  • have a good time with it,
  • pack a plethora of beads in many hues, including pink and purple, and
  • You'll be sitting on the floor, so be sure to dress comfortably.
  • Every year at the party, as I'm helping the girls make bracelets, they ask me how I got started in the jewelry business. I tell them that following my passion led me to become an entrepreneur, that I design my own websites, and that I create my own job each day by seizing opportunities and thinking outside the box.

Create an attractive flyer with images of some tempting bracelets, a snapshot of a selection of beads, a short description of the party, and your contact information to attract those interested in the bracelet beading party specialty.

Inquire at local elementary schools about including one of your flyers in students' weekly take-home folders; many schools are happy to do this if you provide the flyer copies, and you can also give one to each of your birthday party guests to take home (most of the girls who attend one of my birthday beading parties want to have their own parties).

Flyers for a birthday bracelet beading party can also be distributed (with permission) in venues like craft stores, pottery painting stores, soccer tournaments, and dance studios where girls take classes.

Biagi Beads

Carlo Biagi Bead Collection is a new collection of jewelry that features over 900 sterling silver pieces inspired by modern Italian design. Biagi Beads are cutting-edge, sophisticated, and boast a sultry European aesthetic that is sure to win over the heart of your significant other.

Biagi bracelets have a new base bracelet that is made of sterling silver. This base design feature allows a customer to screw the beads on rather than trying to connect a bunch of beads or charms together.

Italian charm bracelets, or "Biagi Beads," are made up of a series of modular links hooked together to form a single bracelet. Typically, there are eighteen charms on a bracelet, and each one is different from the others.

Customers can begin their Biagi Beads collection with a starter bracelet, which includes 18 blank links that can be filled with any variety of beads and charms. This bracelet's modular design is what makes this possible.

Laser Italian charms, deluxe-link Italian charms, hand-painted Italian charms, authentic licensed Italian charms, photo Italian charms, and dangle Italian charms are just some examples of the many different types of Italian charms that can be used to create a custom Italian charm bracelet.

Biagi Italian Bead Bracelets were designed by Unodomani, a renowned Italian charms designer. The Italian Charm Bracelet craze first appeared in Italy. Biagi Beads are compatible with Troll, Chamilia, Pandora, and Baci, so customers can mix and match their jewelry. However, Biagi is the most innovative of the modular jewelry brands.

Each bracelet can be personalized by removing, adding, and rearranging the charms or beads, so you can make a special accessory for a wedding, Christmas, birthday, Easter, Thanksgiving, the Fourth of July, Halloween, or any other special occasion.

The Biagi Bead line is distinguished by its modular design, which allows beads to be twisted on and off at any time, unlike other charm links, which require the beads to be completely connected and taken apart.

Biagi sterling silver bracelets are one-of-a-kind, customizable, and popular. They have literally millions of unique design possibilities.
